User's notes

Many scores of wonderful fruits (100+) on the ground from the canopy above; some fresh, some with flesh rotting off the nuts and some weather–cleaned 'nuts' with the seeds inside. In situ diagnostic photographic views of the relevant parts. Refer to the scholarly botanical literature references I have provided in this species page here in NatureMapr. However I did not have spare time to work out which canopy and thus trunk this fruiting tree was in this dense canopy lowland tropical rainforest. Mossman Gorge, long loop track near damson plum tree _Terminalia microcarpa_ information sign, slightly N a few metres off the track there. 2022 September 9:49 – 9:54 am .
