Definitely a copperhead (Austrelaps sp.) and probably Austrelaps superbus, but can't really be sure without seeing the head better, especially the face and particularly the supralabial (upper lip) pattern.

@JenniferS Are you sure this is the right location for this sighting, as the species shown, Bellatorius major is not naturally found this far west, but rather inhabits coastal areas e.g Gosford at this latitude.
Also, the photos are taken in and around a dwelling, but the location is given as a wilderness area, without any dwellings nearby.
