I am not sure how to differentiate between P. calleryana and P. ussuriensis. Even within species it depends on cultivar and hybridisation. On the basis of invasiveness, P. calleryana is more likely and cultivars Bradford, Redspire and Chanticleer have been planted in Canberra. Pyrus ussuriensis is less invasive but has been widely planted, at least until recently.
