User's notes

Vigorously growing young tree, large for a sapling, serrated large leaves, with small triangular stipules (photograph 4), oil dots and streaks in the leaves visible with a lens (photograph 5). Casearia grewiifolia ? var. gelonioides (Blume) Sleumer ex Jessup –to check the identification to this variety or otherwise . Cairns swamp park lands, in a forest–slashed grass–weeds warm edge facing the west –warm afternoon sun.
